I have just been to visit the beautiful Beechmont Plateau, in the Gold Coast Hinterland, SE Qld, Australia.  Adjoining this Plateau is the Lamington Plateau, host to the Lamington National Park , Gondwana Heritage Rainforests and all things wonderful. These biodiverse rainforests with an ancient heritage extend along the border of NE NSW and SE QLD. The Mt Warning Region, on the east coast of Australia has vegetation remnants that suggest the region has good resilience to drought continental conditions over time. I admit I have not really read much about the 2020 Summit in Canberra this weekend (19th/20th April,2008), but I did see Barry Jones on tv saying that “if the environment is shot, then the economy is shot as well”.
