Benoit, my little Crow friend has discovered money…… this is what he says “All it takes today it seems, is having some money to follow your dreams. The day comes up the sun goes down and life goes fast in every town. This stuff you eat that feasts on you I’m finding it mighty hard to chew!” There is another Benoit crow poem here . Ecospherics Ethics :- “An anthology of ecological, philosophical, spiritual, economic …»»

There is a way !

It was long ago in another life that our dear PK came to some strife Missing his mother’s loving face , he followed her trail from their  breeding place….. His search and their saga – ever so long,  told PK quite clearly that something was wrong! For months on end, that stretched to years, calling through fences with their tears Across that void – that fierce road, the trucks, the cars – their rushing load. …»»

When Phantom Koala was Young - a Koala Saga

Phantom Koala, as a story teller for Bluecray, resides mainly at the “Balance of Faeries” wordpress blog.  However, out of respect for the many Koalas that have struggled for survival in the ongoing rapid development and habitat destruction in SE Qld and NE NSW, Australia, his “Story” belongs here.  PK’s home is in the Mt Warning Caldera Region.  *ALSO: Draft National Koala Conservation and Management Strategy 2009-2014 - Submissions close 5th August 2009

Land and Water Stewardship in the Mt Warning Caldera Region - food for thought

The Mt Warning Caldera Region of NE NSW and SE QLD has many disturbed, weed infested poorly managed lands and waterways. Lantana, Camphor Laurel and other environmental and declared weed species abound. There is a trend for revegetation and habitat restoration projects, (land for Wildlife, landcare, caring for our country etc) to incorporate herbicide spraying of weeds, into the projects. Many projects are along waterways. Growing by Organics-food Gardens & Sharing : Article at Bluecray …»»

The Kings Forest Development (Leda Group) shows us some interesting facts about the “perceived right of way” by developers concerning inappropriate development of sensitive areas on the Far North Coast of New South Wales. The EDO (Environmental Defenders)  has highlighted that  Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 has resulted in “The limited capacity for members of the community, or even other environmental agencies, to have their voice heard and the reduced …»»

Kings Forest Development threatens 21 Threatened Species of Fauna

Threats to threatened species on the NE NSW Coast of Australia are increasing, due to inappropriate developments by developers who have a history of disregard for habitat and wildlife. Engineering and developments that cause land to become bare, vegetation to become fragmented and biodiversity to lessen for long, or even relatively short periods of time hold no place in this modern world of stress and foreseeable biological disaster. The precautionary principle,  “Where the possibility exists …»»
